Our Story

Founded in 1971, we are a British designer and manufacturer of distinctive cabinet hardware. Our mantra is simple: everyday touchpoints should go beyond the ordinary. With three generations of expertise in design, materials, and engineering, we reimagine collections that combine timeless craft with a modern point of view, transforming cabinetry hardware from an afterthought into a defining detail.

The Experience Studio

Our new London home is more than a showroom. The Hendel & Hendel Experience Studio is a place for full immersion: a space for creative conversations, a gallery of collections, and a materials lab for tactility and exploration. Here, hardware isn’t simply displayed, it’s experienced.

Three Generations in the Making

The Hendel & Hendel story began humbly in 1971. Our grandfather delivered fittings from a small shed in Retford. What began as a small family effort quickly grew into a trusted name for tradespeople, built on integrity, hard work, and an unwavering respect for craft.

Over the decades, each generation added its own perspective. From roots in joinery, to our father’s dedicated fittings company in the 1990s, the family’s knowledge of design, engineering, and materials deepened.

Hendel & Hendel is led by Directors Terry and Bruce Haughton, who drive design and innovation with a shared vision: to push boundaries, refine every detail, and create hardware that elevates interiors globally, all while staying true to the heritage of the business.
