Midimalism explained

A blend of two seemingly opposing aesthetics, Midimalism is an ‘in the middle’ of both minimalism and maximalism. This style blends the busy and bold style of maximalism with the pared-back style of minimalism.

This is a style that’s had increased traction in recent months, as people lean towards that ‘lived-in’ look.

Midimalism allows for expression and warmth, combining an uncluttered space with personality and soul. It’s a style that embraces texture and colours while maintaining a carefully curated feel.

"Midimalism is about restraint with character with refined forms, elevated materials, and just enough warmth to make minimalism feel livable. In the kitchen shown here, the Midimalist approach is expressed through a pairing of soft matte cabinetry, natural timber, and the bold veining of the marble countertop that brings in the maximalism touch"
